Remember the 1950s photo shoot I mentioned in my last post? Well, here we have our second lovely model from the day, Minney.

I really enjoyed working on this one, again on Colourfix paper. I really like starting with a dark background rather than light, at least it worked for this portrait. I would still like the surface to be a tiny bit smoother, but I can sand it down to where I need it. (That’s what I’m doing for my next artwork, hopefully it’ll take the layers just as well as the un-sanded ones have!).

Title: Minney.
Size: 9×12 inches.
Medium: Caran d’Ache Luminance & Faber-Castell Polychromos colour pencils on Colourfix paper (Burgundy).
Photo reference: My husband’s photo of Minney (can be seen here).
