I haven’t thought of an interesting title for this one, because it’s only a study (one of many). I’m working towards a more classical look with portraits and this is my very first step in that direction. 🙂
I struggled a bit with the skin tones because the model was very pale and had white/blonde hair in the photo. The colours looked bland so I decided to make her hair more of a golden blonde colour and add a bit of life to the portrait. In theory…
Anyhoos, I’m pretty happy with my first portrait in oils. There will be more very soon and hopefully they will get better in time!
