Every day in November I’ll upload a new bird painting or drawing as part of my new series!

30 Days of Birds – Day Thirty

We made it! The final bird of this series!

For this bird, I wanted something special. And with me, that means colour – lots of it! And so we have another Scarlet Macaw but this time in coloured pencil (Luminance & Polychromos), on Arches smooth watercolour paper. I also added some bubbles behind him because it meant even more colour!

Will I ever paint or draw birds again? Of course I will! I absolutely love birds, and I am in no way tired of drawing them. If anything, I appreciate them even more and can’t wait to start on some larger, more detailed artworks!

But I have to say, I’m also looking forward to drawing and painting other animals again, as well as people.
