Yes, you read that right – I have actually started using watercolours! Never say never, huh? I can honestly say that I love using watercolours now! I never thought I would, but here we are. I wasn’t sure how I’d go at first, so I only bought a small sample and did some playing around/testing.
This is the set I bought, Sennelier Aqua-Mini. I really wanted to use a good quality brand so that I had an idea of how watercolours really worked. I wrote in a previous post about the last time I used watercolours (in the days before YouTube), that set was very low quality and probably helped seal my dislike of watercolours. But all of that has changed now!
And here’s my first artwork using quality watercolours! I used coloured pencils over the top, but I’m really happy with how they worked together.
